Autumn Equinox Women's Ritual Dance

Time to harvest the grain, literally and metaphorically. What grains of your Spring planting have grown and are ready to eat/ready to be gathered, are inner living testaments to your intentions, plans and dreams? What are we taking into the longer nights with us as the days shorten?

About the Event

Time to harvest the grain, literally and metaphorically. What grains of your Spring planting have grown and are ready to eat/ready to be gathered are inner living testaments to your intentions, plans and dreams? What are we taking into the longer nights with us as the days shorten and nestling darkness blankets us?

In this ritual circle we will engage with the plants, in our bodies through communal dance, and in sisterhood support to celebrate the grains of our life, we will let go the grains, the dreams that didn't make it and must go back to the earth, to the compost of the unconsciousness. We will honor the dipping into longer nights, bigger time to dream.

We will dance in sacred patterns, on the earth, holding hands, in the steps of our ancestors. In our dance we will be sharing in traditional Balkan, Roma. Armenian, Near Eastern, and modern sacred circle dances. Our time together may also include elements of expressive dance, barefoot flamenco, inspirational poetry or what moves us and finds us.

Throughout all ages and cultures, traditional circle dances were used to honor the divine, to heal, to affirm connection to the earth and each other, to build community and celebrate rites of passages and life transitions. The danced patterns illuminate the web of these connections. It is where personal and universal healing can occur.

This Circle is for  you if you want to:
