Nettles is one of the most versatile and widely useful plants. Strengthening, nourishing and supporting the whole body as an overall tonic, it’s been relied up for centuries as both a food and a medicine. In Europe it’s used as a Spring tonic, as a way of rebuilding the body after the winter scarcity and stagnation. Deep nourishment and blood building. As a food it is rich in calcium, iron, magnesium, silica, protein, chlorophyll, and a wide variety of vitamins and trace minerals – It is these minerals that give nettles it’s minerally taste. It builds healthy blood, bones, joints, skin and connective tissue and has been used throughout the centuries for anemia, low blood pressure, general weakness, fatigue and recovery after illness. It’s well suited to long term use as a daily infusion or food due to it’s high mineral and chlorophyll content.

It has also been used for eruptive skin conditions associated with allergic responses. Both traditional use and clinical studies support its role in moderating allergic symptoms..
