Join in women's circle, and dance in alignment with the sacred patterns of the Winter. We dance in moving mandala, dancing stone henge formation to honor the return of the light in the darkest nights. We will dance in community traditional Balkan, Greek, Rom, Armenian, and modern circle dances

Throughout all ages and cultures, traditional circle dances were used to honor the divine, heal, affirm connections to the earth and each other, build community and celebrate rites of passage and life transitions. Many of the dances originated in European cultures embodying a worldview that honored the earth, the body, and the divine feminine.

The dances are joyful, meditative, mournful, full of beauty, longing, life, and celebration!

There are many winter celebrations this time of year. We will be honoring the returning of the light, LaBefana-( the Italian old witch of winter), Nollaig na mBan (meaning 'Woman's Christmas' in Gaelic), and Mother Holda (a germanic goddess who brings on winter).
