A rare synthesis where professional psychotherapy meets the sacred arts and the wisdom of the natural world

 Today is

Day of the Divine Mother of Herbs

(Matka Boska Zielna) It is a polish holiday and being slavic descent, czech/croatian, I intentionally search for traditions, customs, folklore, magic that is part of my ancestry, my roots. There are layers inside and out that hold me together more when I do this.

There is a resonance, a fortitude, a deeper well. A web.

Matka Boska Zielna is a tradition of blessing medicinal herbs and fruits of the first harvest. The holy mother is seen as a patroness of the soil, of lush greenery with all the nature’s flowers and herbs, and of all kinds of the ‘gifts of the earth’.

It's also harvest time on general and in many traditions harvest blessings, rituals,

and celebrations take place this time of year.

Lammas in Celtic traditions was recently celebrated, Dożynki in slavic lands and many more. Ancient harvest rituals that brought communities together for feasting, dancing, and storytelling  were a powerful manifestation of a public health imperative

During these harvest days, in some way  I hope we can pay homage to the first harvest, to the crops, the gifts from mother earth in a way that does her true honor. I've been gathering Mugwort and  wormwood and made a simple wreath for my doorway.

May your life harvest be in accordance with your prayers, intentions and conscious deliberate efforts.

May you savor your blessings and positive experiences to promote inner well being and a life well lived. During hard times this is an essential.

The ability to savor is crucial for building happiness, resilience,

and a deep appreciation for life's "harvest". If you are having a hard time with this, as these truly are hard times; try gratitude journaling.

This practice directly combats the preoccupation with what is

lacking by shifting focus to what is already present.

This practice doesn't take away the hardships but expands upon and savors what IS there. Regularly acknowledging blessings,

no matter how small, can rewire the brain to recognize abundance.

As a public health initiative, a community mental health endeavor, that I miss so much,

we are beginning to gather again September 19th.

The first harvest celebration of the dancing web studio

is moving forward with our gathering on September 19th as the entry point to continuing transformation of the space.

There are still other elements that will continue to carry the space into completion. It's a work in progress. It's been too long since I held a gathering and I so need it, so I hope to see you. The space is ready enough to dance in, to bless, to believe in and to brainstorm in. We will dance outside weather permitted also ,and inside the new sanctuary.

I look forward to when you step into this space where movement meets medicine,

bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern somatic healing, guiding you back to your truest sacred self.

The Dancing Web is an alchemy of clinical expertise, ancient ritual, earth based practices all in one unique container.

I hope you find refuge, restoration, renewal in the

somatic sanctuary of

The Dancing Web.

We will

*Move with the moon and the seasons

*Weave our personal stories into the vast tapestry of celestial cycles and ancient wisdoom

*Harness our body intelligence to heal

*Restore safety with somatic dance, ritual dance

*Collectively move together

and more....

Autumn Equinox is for harvesting and gathering.

This gathering is to celebrate and bless the opening of the newly reconstructed

Dancing Web Studio on this special Autumn Equinox!

This will be the entrypoint for further gatherings, events, healing circles, a space for other healing practioners, dance parties, and for my private clients. Along with a space for my own circles, groups and private clients, I envision an affordable and safe space for other practitioners to utilize for their work, a space for co-created healing arts experiences, an extended space for guests to stay.

I know so many healing creative people, if you would like to utilize this space or work with me in co creating something please come!

And most of all a safe space for all peoples!

For this day we will begin with a tea ceremony, herbal crafting and women's ritual dance circle. Then an open time for creative thought, incantantions, blessings, brainstorming. And end with a potluck and either a dance party or chilling with tea by the fire.

In the dance circle....

We will join together to weave together with the moon, sun, sacred plants, sacred dance, and dance therapy.

We will be celebrating the harvest in our lives.

Our dances will reconnect us into this ancient way of honoring the earth’s rhythms.

As we experience the days shortening, we can the harvest and gather in joy and the richness of our worldly blessings. We will seek not only guidance from the dances but from those who created these dances, the ancestors of the dances. The wisdom of the ancient ones are held within the dances.

As we attentively dance and plug into this wisdom we reweave ourselves into the time honored web of life.

In our dance we will be sharing in traditional Balkan, Roma. Armenian, Near Eastern, and modern sacred circle dances aligning with the Autumn Equinox energies.

Please reach out if you are feeling the need. I offer half-hour free virtual consultations to see how we can work together.

Most of my clients are young women/women who experienced disruptive childhoods in some regard. Through our sessions, they are exploring their bodies, their minds, and their hearts and finding new clarity, purpose, organization, and new stories to make sense of the past and to better move forward. I'm excited and honored to be their mirror and guide.

If this also sounds like something you or your daughter need at this time, for you or your inner girl or young woman, please reach out. I know most of us have had variations of oppressed and disrupted transitions from girl to womanhood and on.

It's been and continues to be quite an epidemic!

Harvestingly yours,
